Hi everyone, looking for some info from anyone who has converted/copied 35mm slides from their camera - my system is canon.

Cheers

Mike

I have a slide "holder" that goes onto my Canon scanner for copying slides. They don't really seem to copy to highest quality though.

Sorry Mike can't help.

Tried doing negatives previously but also found the quality to be really crap.

Cheers, Bruce.

Hi Mike,

You mentioned your system is Canon. The attached video is for Nikon, for creating quality RAW files from negatives and slides. The process seems a bit convoluted, but if you're after quality I doubt photo scanners will achieve the same result. There's also some advice regarding negative conversion using a 'picture control profile in-camera'. I'm considering this process for my own slides and negatives, but am weighing up the value compared to sending away for professional conversion of only the most precious images.
