Welcome to the Photography Group of Bunbury forum!

Although some of us know each, we have lots of new members who don't and as this forum is a new addition to our website we are all new to it.

Please introduce yourself and tell us a little about why you joined the club, the camera or cameras you use, what you use for post processing and what sort of photos you like to take.Tell us and our members who you are, what you like and why you became a member of this site.

TOPIC: Hi From Heather

Hi From Heather 14 Mar 2014 00:16 #8

Well I thought I would experiment with the forum and introduce myself.

This is my 4th year as a PGoB member and 3rd year on the committee. I am the current exhibition coordinator so most of you will have seen me at club night, and am happy to help new members start exhibiting their images. Please contact me if you are having any problems submitting images for the Digital Images exhibition or need to know about preparing your prints for our club night. If I can't help you myself I will hopefully chase down someone who can.

I still consider myself more of an enthusiast than a photographer, but I have definitely learnt a lot since joining the club, and have made new friends with common interests and enjoy the social events. I started using an Olympus Point & Shoot but now use an Olympus EP3 (bought just prior to the release of the OM-D !!!!) I honestly can't see myself moving to a larger camera with lots of big lenses, (unless I happen to win one - then I might reconsider!). I like the challenge of shooting raw, manual controls and using different lenses, but ultimately if it doesn't fit in a small shoulder bag then I probably wouldn't take it with me, so the mirrorless camera suits me well.

My photography style could be summed up as "Outdoors", - mainly because that is where I like to be, and also I prefer natural lighting. I hope to do a lot more travel photography because, like most of us, I love travelling, and wouldn't it be great if I could get better at it!

The best way to contact me for help with submitting images, or to invite me to interesting photography opportunities, is by email. This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
