Hi all

I will be holding a few short workshop at my home (12 Kardil Street, Dalyellup) over the next few weeks. The first one will be on Monday night, 29 February from 6.30pm to 8.30pm if you need some help with Lightroom.

The objective is to help you get your images ready so that you can participate in club night exhibitions and we will cover the following area
1. A basic edit, including a crop (this is so you understand the difference between RATIO and actual size)
2. Resizing and renaming images
2. Exporting for the Projected Images (or for the gallery)
3. Exporting for Print

We will create some pre-sets in LR and some folders on your computer so that you can simplify things and follow the same process each month
If you are new to club or new to using LR and a bit overwhelmed by it all, this could be a good starting point, so please be encouraged to come along.
Numbers are limited to 6 people.

What you need to bring
1. Laptop with LR installed (and your power cord)
2. Photos already in files on the computer
3. Pen and paper for notes

If you would like to attend, please copy the name list below into a new post and add your name to the list.

Room for one more tomorrow night if anyone else is interested. This is just a little intro course as a place to start, to be organised for club night exhibitions. Ladies I will send you address info etc later this afternoon.

From your pictures, select about 10 images - they don't need to be processed (but can be). The important thing is to make sure you have a variety of different sorts of photos - make sure that a few are portrait ORIENTATED (i.e. taller than they are wide), a few that you know you want to crop, and a few that are landscape ORIENTATED (i.e. wider than they are tall).

Make sure you know how to find them quickly on your computer - you might like to put them same folder or better still, in a Lightroom COLLECTION (if you don't know what I collection is, I will tell you tomorrow)

If there are other specific things you want to learn, have a think about them as we can make these things the focus of future mini workshops. We can either chat about them tomorrow or you can add a new post.
